PRINCE William and Kate Middleton were on top form at a pal's wedding - despite both their exes turning up.
Smiling Kate accompanied Wills, 28 - who was a groomsman to his friend Harry Aubrey-Fletcher - to the society do.
And they appeared unfazed that their old flames Rose Farquhar, 26, and Willem Marx, 28, had also been invited.
Willem was Kate's boyfriend when she was at Marlborough College in Wiltshire.
Budding actress Rose, William's "first love", dated him soon after he left Eton in the summer of 2000 - a year before the Prince met Kate.
Wills and his missus, 29, were determined not to upstage the groom and his bride, Louise Stourton, at the bash in Aldborough, North Yorks.
They arrived separately and Wills headed first to the nearby Ship Inn with other groomsmen and Prince Harry.
William stayed in he pub for two hours before walking across the road to St Andrew's Church while his brother, 26, left soon afterwards.
The boozer's regulars were allowed in during the VIP visit but the Royals stayed in a separate room with curtains shielding them from curious eyes.
Kate's car pulled up outside the church minutes before the wedding was due to start. She emerged looking classy in black with a pillbox hat.
After Saturday's ceremony, the Royals headed back to the boozer, as Wills joked to watching villagers: "It's not my wedding yet."
The wedding party - who also included Princess Beatrice, 22 - later jumped on a double-decker bus for the six-mile trip to the reception.
Yesterday the Ship's landlord Brian Rey admitted: "I had no idea that Prince William was coming until he arrived with other groomsmen.
"To say I was surprised is an understatement."
His partner Elaine Howden added: "I was surprised when William arrived - but then I was walking though the dining room and saw Harry sitting there."
