Research in Motion says it will release its 4G BlackBerry tablet PlayBook this summer exclusively for Sprint's wireless network.

The device will feature the new BlackBerry tablet operating system, as well as support for Adobe Flash.

The tablet packs a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, a front- and rear-facing camera and the ability to play 1080p HD video. PlayBook will also include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.

Meanwhile, the new tablet operating system will support options such as multitasking and a variety of apps.

As our story from earlier this week notes, CES is experiencing a tablet invasion. Several companies including Vizio, Asus, Toshiba and Motorola plan to enter the market, joining Apple and its iPad and Samsung with the Galaxy Tab.

For a closer look, BlackBerry has complete details on the official website for PlayBook.
