David Beckham brandished a 'selfish pig' by LA Galaxy supporters after reports ... - Goal.com

A potential loan move to England for David Beckham has angered LA Galaxy fans who, according to The Sun, have branded the midfielder a selfish pig for wanting to make the move.

As exclusively revealed by Goal.com UK on Monday morning, Tottenham are keen to sign the 35-year-old on a permanent basis if they can secure a loan deal during January.

But the LA Galaxy fans are upset Beckham once again wants to leave the Home Depot Center during the MLS off season and feel the move is more about benefitting himself than benefitting the club.

Many Galaxy supporters feel the former England captain is abandoning them once more, particularly after having made loan moves to AC Milan in recent years.

Beckham has made 55 appearances for Galaxy in the four years he has been with the club and has recently returned from an Achilles injury to help keep the club top of the Western Conference but was unable to secure his side a victory in the final against Dallas.

One supporter blasted Beckham on a fans' forum, saying: "How about this selfish damn pig plays at least half the games in a Galaxy season at least once during his contract?

"How about he shows some commitment to this club to match his words?

"And how about someone at Galaxy has the balls to say 'No! You're under contract'."

According to reports, several Premier League clubs are interested in signing Beckham on a short-term loan contract as the midfielder wishes to remain fit for international duty.
