45 MIN: Referee Thomson blows the whistle for half-time and the teams go in level at 0-0.

44 MIN: They've come in for a lot of criticism this season but so far the Celtic defence has been solid. Thomas Rogne looks dependable.

With the trickery of Vladimir Weiss, though, they'll have to work their socks off to stay that way.

39 MIN: It's raging from end-to-end now. Steven Whittaker has a chance inside the box but rushes the shot and the ball squirms well wide.

37 MIN: Great cross from Forrest down the right. Bougherra heads the danger clear. Celtic starting to dominate.

35 MIN: It's frantic so far but quality is at a premium. Very few chances for either side.

26 MIN: Madjid Bougherra concedes a foul on Charlie Mulgrew then kicks the ball at him. The Celtic player reacts and squares up to Bougherra. Handbags but both players are booked by referee Craig Thomson.

23 MIN: Corner No2 for Celtic, McGregor punches clear.

Brilliant throughball from Paddy McCourt to young Forrest, who is denied by an outstanding last-gasp tackle from Lee McCulloch.

20 MIN: First corner for Celtic. Rangers deal with it.

19 MIN: Ricky Foster has played Champions League football and now Old Firm. He's got a year left on his Aberdeen deal but how can he possibly go back after this exposure?

James Forrest goes on a foraging run down the right but a weak cross lets him down.

15 MIN: Poor distribution from Thomas Rogne. Celtic have to be better playing from the back.

Rangers playing some lovely football, Ness always at the heart of it. Hard to tell after just 15 minutes but he looks like a real player.

12 MIN: David Weir concedes a free-kick with a crunching tackle on Paddy McCourt in the centre circle.

8 MIN: He's only 19 but so far Jamie Ness looks like he's an Old Firm veteran. Great start from the youngster.

Vladimir Weiss blazes a shot over the bar as Rangers grab this game by the scruff of the neck.

6 MIN: First corner for Rangers, Lee McCulloch's header is diverted onto the bar by Emilio Izaguirre standing on the line.

4 MIN: Scrappy start so far, Rangers looking stronger.

1 MIN: Paddy McCourt gives away early free-kick. Old Firm games wouldn't be the same if there wasn't a foul in the first minute.

PRE-MATCH: Jamie Ness makes his first start for Rangers. No Freddie Ljungberg for Celtic who is out with a virus. Teams in the tunnel waiting to get this derby started.

Former captains and Old Firm legends John Greig and Billy McNeill lead the teams out.

Minute's silence for the 66 fans who died in the Ibrox disaster 40 years ago perfectly observed by both sets of fans.
