RIM: original iPhone was 'badly flawed' - Benzinga

When the iPhone first launched in 2007, it had its downers. Many companies and individuals thought that the original iPhone was lacking in several important features that should be found in a smartphone – one of this is Research in Motion (RIM). As noted by Business Insider, a RIM executive initially stated that the iPhone was "so badly flawed from day one," and "users wanted great battery life, great security, great mail handling, minimal network use, and a great keyboard experience."

Without a doubt, many consumers thought that the iPhone was the best smartphone available back in 2007 and also without a doubt, RIM was partially right. The first-generation iPhone was missing some features that should have been included since day one.

What do you think about RIM's statement? Were they completely wrong? Dead-on?
