A FAME-hungry businessman told his girlfriend he was away on a work trip - then trawled for a new woman on Take Me Out.
Daniel Haden will be seen on tomorrow night's show boasting of his bachelor life in Brighton.
But miffed Sarah Patel revealed that the night Dan, 23, was recording the ITV programme with host Paddy McGuinness, he had told her he was enjoying a sun escape with colleagues.
Sarah, 24, told TV Biz: "Dan mentioned work had arranged a staff bonding trip. He texted me, 'We're in Tenerife'.
"I picked him up at the station after three days, and he gave me a grateful kiss.
"But the next day he was quiet and moody. I'd got it into my head that he'd cheated and was feeling guilty."
After ringing his work and discovering there had been no trip, Sarah confronted Dan, who confessed all.
She went on: "Thinking back, I recalled how Dan had said it would be a laugh to go on the show if he was single. But he already had a girlfriend - me!"
Daniel pleaded he had "done nothing" with the girl he chose. But Sarah dumped him, declaring: "He gave up our real love for five minutes of fame."
Dan said: "I'd wanted to go on Take Me Out for ages, so when I was asked I couldn't say no."
