Police have arrested a 16-year-old teenager in connection with a stabbing at Notting Hill Carnival.
Despite the stabbing, Scotland Yard said this year's carnival was 'very peaceful'
The 20-year-old victim was attacked in Ladbroke Grove on Monday and suffered stab wounds to his abdomen and hand.
He is being treated in hospital in central London where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
Three men aged 20 and one aged 21 have already been arrested in connection with the incident.
The 16-year-old boy was arrested at an address in West London and is being held on suspicion of assault.
Officers are also keen to speak to a man who attempted to prevent a suspect from leaving the scene by lifting his leg as an obstacle.
Despite the stabbing, Scotland Yard said this year's carnival was "very peaceful."
A record 6,500 officers were deployed to police the second day of the event, which saw a total of 214 arrests over the two days, fewer than the 2010 event.
The carnival had been subject to an earlier finishing time of 7pm to reduce the risk of trouble following the riots which affected the capital.
