Libyan Foreign Minister arrested - YouTube

A key figure in the Gaddafi regime - the Libyan Foreign Minister - has been arrested by rebel forces.

Abdelati Obeidi was detained at his farm near Tripoli.

Elsewhere, the hunt for the Colonel and his sons goes on.

In a separate development the RAF has flown millions of poundsworth of Libyan currency into Benghazi so the new government can pay its staff and reopen the banks.

Meanwhile, two of Colonel Gaddafi's sons appear to be at war themselves - as the military pressure on their father, their family and his regime intensifies.

One, Saadi Gaddafi, is reported to have said he had his father's authorisation to negotiate his own and his father's surrender.

The other, Saif Gaddafi, says that isn't true. He says it's propanda by the rebels, and victory is near and that his father is doing well.

"We would like to assure people that we are steadfast and the commander is doing well," Saif al-Islam said in a speech broadcast on a Syrian-owned satellite television channel.

He criticised NATO, which helped oust his father from Tripoli by providing air support to rebels, saying the alliance was now supporting an ex-al Qaeda member who he said had been appointed to a senior position in the capital Tripoli. "You will regret this a lot," he said.
