Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey's prime minister, may visit the Gaza Strip, in what would be one of the most dramatic moves to date in Ankara's dispute with Israel.
Turkish officials confirmed that Mr Erdogan was looking at making the visit, which he previously mooted in July as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians against Israel's naval blockade of Gaza.
