Wadham School A-Level results: Head teacher's pride at student grades - This is Somerset

Wadham School head teacher David Derbyshire has praised the effort and hard work of his students as they collect their A-Level results today.

The Crewkerne school is celebrating an impressive set of results, including the three As and two Bs for Sophie Draper in her A2 exams.

Will Vickery, meanwhile, achieved three As and one B grade at AS.

Mr Derbyshire said: "Students have worked hard to achieve their results and will now be looking forward to their next steps in education, employment and training.

"Wadham School is proud of its students and the results they have achieved at the end of their time in our sixth form.

"Whilst a small number still await final confirmation of their place, we are expecting all those who sought a university place for this September will have been successful."
