Anthony Fraser is thought to be on the run in Spain after escaping during a police raid on a drugs gang two years ago.

He is accused of a plot to flood the UK with £60m worth of drugs.

The 39-year-old has been named at the head of a list being released by Crimestoppers of 10 most wanted fugitives thought to be in Spain.

Detectives seized two tons of cannabis during the raid on a warehouse in Essex, in March, 2009. The drugs were hidden in boxes of frozen chicken pieces imported from Holland.

We have many ways of tracking down wanted offenders, but where they drop off our radar we ask the public to help.

Five men were arrested and later jailed for a total of 40 years in a trial at Southwark Crown Court.

Fraser was named on the charge sheet as a co-conspirator, whose role it was to hire a lorry to transport the drugs, but he has not been seen since the police ambush.

Police now believe he is hiding somewhere in the Alicante area of Spain's Costa Blanca, among the huge British ex-pat community.

Ken Gallagher, head of European Operations for the Serious Organised Crime Agency, said: "We have many ways of tracking down wanted offenders, but where they drop off our radar we ask the public to help.

"Anthony Fraser is wanted for his part in an importation of two tonnes of cannabis, for which others have already been convicted."

'Mad' Frankie, 87, was a notorious member of the Richardson gang, south London rivals of the Krays during the 1960s.

Fraser was known as 'The Dentist' after extracting the teeth of his enemies. He did not use anaesthetic.

He was nicknamed 'Mad' Frankie because he was twice certified insane during his 42 years in prison.

Anthony Fraser is the son of Frank Junior, who was jailed in 1999 for four years for possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

It seems crime runs in the Fraser family, with another son, David, jailed for drugs offences and grandson, Jamie, sent to prison for armed robbery.

Anthony Fraser is described as of average height, with green eyes and scars on his left brow and right hand.

The other nine on the 'most wanted' list are due to be revealed by Crimestoppers later today.

Anyone who knows where Fraser or any of the others are can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. Callers in Spain should ring 900 555 111.
