With only five days to go until they represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest's grand final, Blue has been frantically rehearsing their performance.

The boyband jumped on stage in Dusseldorf, Germany, in their casual jeans to practise their high notes and fancy footwork in a bid to perfect their routine for the grand final this Saturday.

Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, Simon Webbe and Duncan James were rehearsing for tomorrow's semi-finals, for which all semi-finalists have now rehearsed at least once ahead of the grand final on May 14.

The first semi-final is on Tuesday, followed by semi-final two on Thursday, and Blue have been trying to get their nation to support them – without much luck.

The boys are performing I Can in the contest, but listeners in the UK and Europe have little chance of hearing the song in advance, as only one of the BBC's radio stations have put it on their playlist.

Lee Ryan recently said: 'We would have liked out country to get behind us, but that seems to be too much to ask.'

Antony Costa, who made an unsuccessful attempt to represent the UK five years ago, added: 'All we want is to do our country proud. We have as good a chance of winning as anyone.'

Their Eurovision performance will be Blue's first gig since they reunited a few months ago, following a six year hiatus – but have a strong background of hits.

The foursome had number ones all over Europe in their heyday, such as All Rise and are hoping to recreate that success on the stage in Dusseldorf.

Antony, 29, said: 'If we can get a top five place it will be amazing. For us it is just great promotion – a way of showing European fans that Blue are back.'

But if their plan fails, Anton said: 'We're emigrating,' while Simon Webbe, 32, said: I'm going straight to Goa.'

Blue has some tough competition though, including going up against X Factor rejects Jedward, who are representing Ireland.

The 19-year-old twins, John and Edward Grimes, are performing last in the city's Espirit Arena and will need to finish in the top 10 in Thursday's semi-final to make it into the grand final on Saturday night.

The boys will be busy working with their vocal coaches and choerographers today, as well as speaking to press ahead of the competition.

Mmm, Duncan James.

The UK doesn't seem to "get" the ESC. When it's not embarrassing cheese like Scooch or that guy last year it's some warbling x factor reject. The standard of music from the other countries is so much higher, and their people take it a bit more seriously than we do. The days of Cliff Richard are over, some of the European artists that perform are HUGE, ie: the Justin Timberlake's / Katy Perry's of their country. No decent UK artist will touch it because we are under the impression it's the naffest thing ever. That's why they hate us! If the countries attitude could change towards it we might get better artists/more support. The Blue song is actually quite good, but as you can't vote for your own country I'm gonna say.. GO SWEDEN!!

The Judges are ANTI BRITISH, Even if they had the best song in the world ,They will still come near the bottom. This will be the death nail to the career guaranteed . - john, sussex, 9/5/2011 12:11 Do you mean 'death knell?'

"All Rise" is one of my all time favorite songs...I wish them good luck!

After following all rehearsals from Dusseldorf, the general concensus is that the UK were in with a great chance, until they took to the stage for their first rehearsal on Saturday, when they were wearing their planned Final night outfits, which are a disaster. Ugly formal penguin suit type wear, which looks completely out of place in Eurovision 2011. They look more like glorified waiters. The background to the fantastic stage consists of three giant LED walls, yet the UK have chosen to bring cheap props again, in the form of 4 small LED screens, which just look really tacky against the huge walls behind them Lee's penguin suit even has the Union Jack embroidered in blue, in the lining, which looks even more tacky, as if the suits weren't bad enough. Blue won't fail to win due to any 'politics'. Watch the favourites France win instead, for the first time since 1977. Amaury Vassili gives an amazing performance, against a stunning background, and Paris 2012 it will be!

Have they said which country they are moving to when they fail to win the contest ?????
