A FILM-maker who lost one eye has transformed himself into a real-life CYBORG.
Rob Spence, 37, who got the injury from a shooting accident as a child, now has a video camera in its place.
The incredible technology, which is like something out of the Terminator movies, was made by electronics experts.
And Rob, from Toronto, Canada, reckons in the future people will choose to have robotic add-ons.
He said: "I was able to do it without a budget it was a fun project for these guys.
"It wasn't easy but because it's so like fiction, engineers had a lot of fun making it.
"People are going to have the option of having superior arms, superior eyes at some point.
"People say no one would ever cut off their own arm and replace it, but if the technology gets there and it looks like it will people will think about it.
"They might be early adopters."
The technology in Rob's eye transmits video information to a receiver.
It can then be shown on a handheld screen or another piece of hardware.
But it is not attached to his brain and has not given him vision in that eye.
Rob added: "I'm a cyborg.
"I've a prosthetic eye, with a camera right in the eye.
"I just pop it in. I can even film myself with my own eye."
