PC World and Currys offer more HP Touchpad deals in the UK - Inquirer

MAKER OF EXPENSIVE PRINTER INK HP's Touchpad tablet is back on sale in the UK for £249 with bundles of accessories.

The tablet is available in its 32GB model only for £249 at PC World, the same price as Amazon is selling the 16GB model. What's more is that the Touchpad 32GB deal comes with a case and a wireless charging dock. The Touchpad 16GB model isn't available from PC World or Currys.

HP's Touchpad tablet has been on and off sale more than a light bulb since the firm decided to discontinue the WebOS hardware. The price is still way higher than the £89 deals that were briefly available earlier when HP first cut the price of the Touchpad in a panic fire sale.

The device isn't available at Clove.co.uk or Play.com. Online retailer Expansys.com has the Touchpad 32GB model for the considerably higher price of £429. This comes with an ominous message that reads, "We have no confirmed lead time for this item - call for more details."

HP is offering customers a refund for any purchases of the Touchpad over the price of £115 for the 32GB model to make up the difference. Unfortunately you won't be able to get one with accessories for £249 and claim £134 back from HP, as the offer only applies to WebOS accounts registered before 23 August. µ
