NEW England captain Chris Robshaw revealed last night that he has never before been to Murrayfield.
Robshaw's first mission in charge comes this Saturday away to Scotland, where England have not won since 2004.
A graveyard for English hopes in recent years, Will Carling, Matt Dawson, Phil Vickery and Martin Corry have all tasted defeat there as captain.
Robshaw has far less experience than that quartet, with just one cap - won when England's British Lions were away in 2009.
Indeed, only four men in the history of English rugby have captained the national team after less time in the white jersey.
But the 25-year-old Harlequins skipper, whose appointment was revealed in yesterday's Mirror Sport, insists he has no fear.
"As a rugby player you want to play in the big stadiums and Murrayfield is an exciting place to go and play," he said.
"Of course it is a daunting place and it is going to be very tough. But I'm looking forward to getting out there."
England boss Stuart Lancaster has guaranteed Robshaw at least two games in charge - the second being in Italy on Saturday week.
He has also confirmed that Robshaw will play at flanker and not No.8.
"In terms of the profile of our group as a whole, people would say we lack experience internationally," said Lancaster.
"But the counter-argument is we've got a lot of lads who've got an awful lot of experience playing in the Premiership and Europe.
"Chris has done that and captained his side really well in a lot of big games. I trust him and I know he will do a fantastic job."
