Gavin Henson has been suspended by Cardiff Blues following an incident on the Saturday morning flight back from Scotland after Friday's 31-3 defeat at Glasgow Warriors.
The Welsh club's management team will meet on Monday to discuss the matter, but announced on Saturday evening the decision had been made to suspend the 30-year-old Wales centre.
A Cardiff Blues spokesperson said on the club's website: "Cardiff Blues can confirm that Gavin Henson has been suspended with immediate effect following an incident on the flight back from Scotland after their match against Glasgow Warriors last night. The Cardiff Blues management team will meet first thing Monday morning to discuss the matter further."
Henson signed for Cardiff in October on an eight-month contract, the Blues becoming the player's fourth club in the space of 12 months after brief spells with Saracens and Toulon in the wake of his departure from the Ospreys.
After several reality television appearances including on Strictly Come Dancing and The Bachelor, Henson made his long-awaited return to rugby in the Blues' 28-9 RaboDirect PRO12 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons on 23 December.
He came off the bench in the 65th minute at Firhill on Friday night, but could now be doubtful for next Saturday's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leinster in Dublin.
