Apple sends invites for iPads' release on Oct. 22 - Daily News & Analysis

Apple has reportedly sent media invites for its highly-anticipated iPads' release scheduled for October 22. The next week's event is expected to show the tech giant reveal a completely redesigned fifth-generation iPad as well as an updated iPad mini with the high-definition Retina display.

According to Fox News, Apple's latest iPad is widely speculated to be smaller and thinner than the current-generation model, and will be seemingly redesigned to better match the look of the iPad mini, which is expected to have a faster A7 processor.

Other speculations also suggest that the latest iPad will have a Touch ID fingerprint scanner like the latest iPhone5. The report said that the tech giant is also expected to unveil few other new products, possibly including an updated Apple TV set-top box and refreshed Mac computers.
