Storm suspends Greater Anglia and First Capital Connect trains - BBC News

All services on Greater Anglia and First Capital Connect trains are suspended on Monday until 09:00 GMT due to an expected storm.

The operators, which serve Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, said customers could experience delays throughout the day.

The UK is braced for severe winds and heavy rain overnight and on Monday.

People are being urged to check the train operators' websites for updates.

Services on East Midlands trains between Norwich and Nottingham are also affected by cancellations and customers are being told to check before travelling.

The suspensions follow advice from Network Rail that gusts scheduled from midnight could damage equipment and put customers at risk.
