EasyJet In New Spat With Founder - Wall Street Journal

LONDON—EasyJet PLC and its founder and former Chairman and Chief Executive, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, were Monday embroiled in a new dispute after the airline said Mr. Haji-Ioannou planned to launch a new airline and both sides claimed infringement of a previous agreement.

EasyJet, now one of Europe's biggest airlines by passenger numbers, said it would fight to protect the interests of easyJet and its shareholders if its founder's new venture, FastJet, breached any recently signed agreements.

It wasn't immediately clear what plans Mr. Haji-Ioannou has for the new airline, and the easyJet founder couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
