She was born three years after the decade ended but appeared to embrace the fashion with gusto yesterday.
Cher Lloyd looked every inch the Eighties chick as she stopped at a service station for a frozen coffee in her crop top.
But later that day she showed off a dramatically different style as she headed to Westfield for her single signing.
Changing style: Cher Lloyd was dressed in a mature and demure outfit for her single signing at Westfield, while earlier in the day she had donned a 1980s look
The singer stepped out in a pair of camel-coloured flaired jeans and a cream shirt with cut out sleeves.
Cher had added a flash of red to her lips as she prepared to meet her followers.
The singer greeted fans at HMV and dished out a limited number of wristbands to grant lucky fans access to the signing of her Swagger Jagger single.
Red flash: Instead of the edgier look she was rocking earlier in the day Cher kept her outfit simple for the signing adding bright red lips to her ensemble
Earlier in the day she was embracing a style well before her time in a slogan crop top and a pair of ripped denim shorts.
Her hair was big and swept to one side as she flashed her midriff and sipped on her drink as she walked across the forecourt.
Cher, who was born in 1993, teamed the outfit with studded baseball boots.
She was with some of her crew as she headed to the Leeds Party in the Park concert where she was performing.
And as her fame grows, so does her nonchalance towards the attention as she casually breezed past the cameras without a care in the world.
Cher, 18, releases her debut single entitled 'Swagger Jagger' today but she has been heavily promoting it at clubs and concerts across the country since its first airplay on June 20.
Caffeine fix: Cher sipped on her frozen coffee as she made her way across the forecourt
Excited: Cher chatted away to one of her crew as they headed to Leeds for Party in the Park
According to reports, an hour before the signing the digital screen on Eat Street leading up to the centre aws being shut down for what is described on the singer's website as a '10 minute Cher Lloyd takeover'.
Cher has also recorded a duet with Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am, who has decided to withhold the record for now.
But she said she wasn't disappointed and told the Daily Star: 'I'm not going to stress about it. I don't think people should focus on that as I'm really happy with the record.'
Rock chick: In studded shorts, Cher performs her new single Swagger Jagger at the Leeds Party in the Park concert
she wears what she's told to wear, and does what she's told to do... she craves fame so much, she's no other choice than to obey. On her own she's got nothing..
