David Beckham's surprise birthday do for his sister - The Sun

The LA Galaxy star, 36, and wife Victoria had arranged for Joanne to have a meal at her favourite Japanese restaurant.

Joanne, who turns 30 in February, did not know the celeb couple would be there and was stunned when she saw them at the diner.

David later posted a picture of the clan on his Facebook page, writing: "Merry Xmas everyone ... just at my little sister Jo's birthday party tonight."

The early do came after Victoria, 37, and David were in the UK over the festive holiday but did not know if they would be here for Joanne's actual birthday. Older sister Lynne, 38, was also there.

Thrilled Joanne tweeted after the meal at Soka restaurant in London: ""Aww turned up at my fav restaurant and can't believe my close friends and family was here !!!! Amazin !!! So happy."

She added: "My bday is feb 19th and I will b 30 but we celebrated early jus in case my big bro wasn't here !! Had a amazin nite."

Joanne also tweeted a picture of the huge pink and white cupcake David ordered at the restaurant, with her name surrounded by fruit and the number 30 on top.

As well as the oriental nosh, David has been filling up with some homely grub before flying back to Los Angeles.

He posted another picture of himself tucking into a dish at his local pie and mash shop.

Judging by the look on his face, he was loving every mouthful.
