Dancing On Ice TV presenter Christine Bleakley and her England footballer fiance Frank Lampard are planning a new life in Los Angeles after their wedding this summer.

Chelsea player Frank, 33, is rumoured to be considering following David Beckham to LA Galaxy, while Christine is 'confident' of landing a US job.

The couple will head to Tinseltown this spring to decide whether they want to live there.

Moving across the pond? Christine Bleakley and her England footballer fiance Frank Lampard are planning a new life in Los Angeles after their wedding this summer

'They love LA and the trip in May is about testing the water to see if they could make it their home. They are very open to the idea,' says a friend.

Christine and Frank became engaged on a holiday in LA last June and are due to marry in Christine's homeland, Northern Ireland.

Although Lampard's agent has denied a move to LA Galaxy is on the cards, sources close to the England midfielder say he has been speaking to David Beckham about a possible move. Becks has himself just signed a new two-year deal at LA Galaxy.

'Frank and Christine have secretly been harbouring this fantasy of moving to America for a while, but nothing concrete was agreed until now,' says the friend. 'They are flying to LA after Christine finishes the current series of Dancing On Ice and Frank has some time free between matches so they can check out possible job offers.'

Christine, 32, has a deal with ITV for two other shows and a spokesman insists she has no plans to leave, adding: 'She is enjoying Dancing On Ice and looking forward to new projects.'

But sources say the couple would not think twice about relocating if Frank  is offered a multi-million-dollar deal to play for LA Galaxy once his contract with Chelsea expires in 2013.

'Christine is confident she could get a good gig in the US and has already made some crucial contacts,' says the friend. 'They are really excited at the possibility.'

Newly engaged property tycoon Nick Candy and Strictly Come Dancing star Holly Valance, 28, are delaying their nuptials until after the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and the Olympics.

'We haven't set a wedding date and we don't even know which country  we are going to have it in,' said Nick, 38, at the Faberge Big Egg Hunt Champagne Countdown party at Quintessentially in London.

'It will be towards the end of the year as we want to enjoy the Olympics and the Jubilee.'

Why being Maggue got Meryl's back up

Meryl Streep has revealed that perfecting the role of ex-Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady was back-breaking work. Streep, 62, right, who won a Golden Globe for Best Actress, told friends  she has struggled with backache since filming.

Back woe: Meryl Streep found mimicking Maragert Thatcher's stoop left her needign specialist treatment

'Meryl had to copy Margaret's posture and, as she's so tall, stooping was awkward for her,' says my mole. 'She found it difficult and her back hasn't been the same since. She has had to have regular specialist treatment.'

The mole revealed that it was the only thing Streep, who is also up for a Bafta, 'hated about the role'.

32 - I don't think so. Keep lying about your age CB.

these two thoughtless individuals make me sick,,,,noithing more to say

good riddance to her it will keep her off our screens. His poor kids, what about them ? Disgrace as a father. These two sound so selfish

money obviously buys you deluded self confidence! then there's the little issue of his children. nice one Christine

Frank wouldnt leave his children. Fact.

Well the Americans definitely won't understand the square faced babbling Irish twaddle she spits out. If you take all the make up and hair away she is NOT an attractive woman and quite manly. Good riddance to the pair of them I say. She was dire on Daybreak and she is ruining DOI with her accent and drivel ...... go sooner than 2013 as far as I'm concerned !

doubt Christine will get a job. There are far more beautiful women in LA to compete against and they won't have an accent. - Marie, New York, 22/1/2012 Oh Marie, don't do that thing so many Americans seem to do, which is to assume that USA accent(s) are normal / default and that all other English speakers have ''an accent''. A friend worked on a US film and learned to speak with a solid mid-west US accent... and then, at the cast party when she was speaking *without* that accent, got asked if she felt ''weird now that you're talking with an accent''. Honestly, this person could not grasp that to her, and literally billions of other people, it is Americans who have an accent! And if beauty is the key criteria to success, how can anyone explain Renee Zellweger's success?

See ya tara !!!

Is America so desparate that they will take, without question, all our rejects? I was under the impression that you had to be good -- very good to make it out there, not just turn up and expect a job on the telly.
