Tulisa, 23, has moved out of their North London flat and is staying with her PA Gareth Varey.
The couple fell out during a recent holiday in the Maldives.
A source said: "Tulisa and Fazer can't stand each other right now."
Tulisa tried to forget her troubles on a night out with girlfriends and Gareth in London on Saturday.
The former couple have known each other since their early teenage years when they formed N-Dubz alongside Tulisa's cousin Dappy.
They kept their relationship secret during the band's rise to fame and never responded to speculation that they might be dating.
However, since Tulisa landed the job on X Factor the pair became more open about their relationship.
Her profile soared after successfully guiding girlband Little Mix to X Factor victory which led to a huge pay-rise ahead of this year's series.
