VOTERS in England increasingly see themselves as English rather than British.
A study found four in 10 voters south of the border say they are English compared to just 16% who prefer British.
Meanwhile, most people in England believe Scottish MPs should be banned from voting on English laws.
But support for a split with Scotland remains low in England at just 22%.
Think-tank IPPR, which carried out the study, also found eight in 10 English voters want the Scots to have financial independence.
