Pop star-turned-designer Victoria Beckham stands in for models when fitting dresses for her clothing line, because she's convinced her figure represents the "general public".
The former Spice Girl admits she often uses her own measurements when draping fabric for her outfits because she's not as slim or tall as runway models.
She tells Harper's Bazaar, "We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and I say, 'OK, I'm going to put it on - I stand for the general public here.' It's how I work."
And Beckham, who has regained her trim waistline after giving birth to daughter Harper last July, admits her pregnant belly got in the way of her design process.
She adds, "I found it really difficult when I was pregnant and I couldn't do that. It's part of the process. I'll stand here in my knickers and start draping fabric over myself."
