Last time she underwent a dramatic image overhaul Helen Flanagan faced the wrath of Coronation Street bosses.

But now she's free from the soap the actress is making the most of having her hairstyle how she pleases.

And this time she's opted for long dark flowing hair rather than the short peroxide pixie cut she previously donned.

The 21-year-old stepped out to show off the new look on Friday as she beamed for the cameras.

It was only a few days ago that she was seen looking dowdy with a bare face and messy scraped back hair.

And although it was a welcome change from her over styled demeanour, Helen clearly had gone too far with her make-under.

But she's back to her styled best following a lengthy trip to the hairdressers.

Changing image: She was last seen with shorter scruffier hair on Tuesday, but she's now undergone yet another image overhaul

Flanagan was seen heading back to her hotel in London with the 800 extensions.

And she appeared to have also added some fake tan to her skin to get rid of her pasty look from Tuesday.

Although she still appeared mainly make-up free, the soap star looked much more healthy with her latest look.

Her long tresses were teamed up with some skinny jeans and a black faux fur jacket.

Former look: Last time Helen adopted a completely different hair style she was on a break from Corrie and went for a short bleached crop

And she brightened the look up with a large purple leather bag, while going for comfort in some flat black shoes.

Appearing to gear herself up for the transformation, Helen wrote on Twitter earlier today: 'London Bound... Let's do this x.'

Helen left Corrie just a couple of weeks ago, leaving her free to change her looks however she pleases.

But last time she was on hiatus from the show she reportedly infuriated programme chiefs by completely changing her look which she adopted to play Rosie Webster in the show.

The actress opted for cutting her brunette shoulder length hair off into a pixie cut before bleaching it almost white.

Altering styles: Helen's adopted a number of different images over the last few years

She insisted TV bosses were happy with the look because she would return to the programme three months later with Rosie attempting to make it as a model with a different image.

But she was reportedly told to change her locks back to brown.

A source said at the time: 'They've said they don't want such a huge change for the character. It'll take her hours at the hairdresser - she's gutted.'

After looking in the mirror I hope she asked for a refund.

A very very attractive young woman.

What everyone seems to forget is that she is just a young kid still! She is beautiful, young, independent, she's not out doing drugs or falling down drunk every weekend, she does a silly pout, shows her boobs off a bit too much - but when you compare here to these TOWIES people it's trash vs class! At least she's not that dark orange with HUGE eyelashes!

This girl NEEDS eye make-up! I don't know why she bothers with all her other make-up (including the cartoon eyebrows) but not the eyes! It looks awful!

A million times better! She looks way more comfortable in her own skin with this hair also. Gorgeous!

it looks totally unatural and obviously fake. Also, why would you want somebody elses hair attatched to your head, it's creepy if you think about it. Just grow your own.

And this is new because..................

yawn !
