Gilmour ordered to pull beach hut down - London Free Press

Pink Floyd star David Gilmour has been ordered to pull down his bright yellow beach hut in East Sussex, England, because local officials consider it an eyesore.

The rocker uses the shed, based on the driveway of his seafront mansion in Hove, to store his bicycles.

Gilmour and his wife, writer Polly Samson, appealed against the council's request to have the building destroyed, but officials are now demanding the musician take the hut down or face prosecution.

A spokesperson from Brighton and Hove city council tells Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "As the planning appeal has failed we've told the owners the hut must be gone by October 1.

"If that doesn't happen we'd have no option but to issue an enforcement notice. Failure to comply with that means either prosecution or the council may remove the hut and charge the householder."
