Doting father David Beckham won over parents across the world when he vowed to donate his entire 170,000-per-week wages from new club Paris St Germain to a children's charity.

And now the former Manchester United player has revealed he has ordered 18-month-old daughter Harper her first French football strip as he prepares to start his five month contract with the club.

Sharing the adorable snap on Facebook, the 37-year-old father-of-four wrote: I've got all the shirts for the kids, you can see little Harper's one here. Blown away by the reception of the people in Paris.

He added: 'Glad to get so many positive comments about the donation. Victoria and I made the decision to give the wages away to a children's charity.

'We are incredibly fortunate so we are glad we could do this with the club's blessing. Thanks as always for your support, I will always do my best for you.'

David made history on Thursday by revealing he will be donating the entire salary from his new contract.

In what is believed to be a world first, the footballer will be donating around 3.5million to the cause - if reports of his 170,000-a-week salary are correct.

Confirming his new role at a press conference in Paris on Thursday, David explained the philanthropic move, saying: 'For me it's always been about playing football, I considered other offers on the table. But one of the reasons I wanted to come to Paris was quite unique.'

Wife Victoria, 38, and their four children will stay in London and David will stay in hotels during his time in the French capital.

Beckham's new team-mate Ibrahimovic insists the global icon still has plenty to offer on the pitch.

He said: 'For a striker playing with somebody like David is a dream. He is the best deliverer of the ball in the world, still.

'If you make the good runs you know he will find you. I am sure we will create something very special.'
