Libyan armed forces may have committed war crimes in the besieged rebel-held city of Misurata, Amnesty International said on Friday, stepping up the pressure on a regime already facing the threat of prosecution by the world human rights court.
Amnesty's report said fighters for Muammer Gaddafi had unlawfully killed civilians in indiscriminate attacks that included the use of heavy artillery, rockets, cluster bombs and sniper fire in civilian areas.
