Police have charged a boy of 13 in connection with the death of a nursery worker.

Dawn McKenzie, 34, is believed to have died from stab wounds at her home in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, on Friday at around 8pm.

Neighbours raced to the home after hearing a ­commotion and tried in vain to save Mrs McKenzie. The suspect is due in court tomorrow.
