PIPPA Middleton may have friends and family in high places, but that hasn't prevented the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge's car being clamped.

According to witnesses, Pippa's 40,000 pound BMW Z4 soft-top was immobilised by a bailiff in a street in London's fashionable Chelsea, where she lives.

While Pippa will be driving again soon, it may not be in the Z4 for much longer. According to reports, the royal sister-in-law may be getting an upgrade to an armoured car.

She carries a panic alarm linked to police, but her parents are worried that the popular party planner may be attacked and want her protection beefed up.

Millionaires Michael, 61, and Carole Middleton, 55, want to buy Pippa a 95,000 pound bomb-proof Audi or BMW according to The Sun.
