There are few things more horrifying for a teenager than waking up to find a giant pimple on your face.

But it must have been doubly heartbreaking for Hunger Games hunk Alexander Ludwig, as he is in the middle of promoting one of the year's biggest films.

He was certainly trying to keep his head down as he arrived at LAX Airport in Los Angeles today, trying to disguise himself further with a large pair of sunglasses.

Unfortunately for him his plan failed to work, and he was spotted with the giant zit in all its glory.

The extra large pimple was also in a rather obvious area, sitting just below the right edge of his lips.

However the 19-year-old was greeted by a mystery woman when he arrived at the terminal in the latest publicity stop for the movie, so perhaps she offered to kiss it better.

With the Hunger Games just being released and the hype surrounding it at its peak, there has been no rest for the Canadian star, who plays villain Cato.

In fact he was busy signing autographs, with his giant spot in full display, at a book shop in West Hollywood popular shopping centre The Grove yesterday.

Luckily for him however, fans seemed a little more eager to meet the movie's number one heart-throb Liam Hemsworth.

But he had better get used to being recognised with the film grossing a staggering $19.7 million from its first showings in the U.S., making it the highest midnight total ever for a non-sequel.

Based on this $19.7 million figure, experts predict that the The Hunger Games should take in at least $50 million on Friday and could reach as high as $150 million over the full weekend.
