He may have wowed the fans with his no-fear attitude after making his first League start for Liverpool on Sunday, but Raheem Sterling still has to improve his attitude according to boss Brendan Rodgers.
The former QPR youngster looked at home playing against champions Manchester City at Anfield, but footage has emerged of him receiving a tongue-lashing from new Reds boss Rodgers on the training ground.
On their pre-season tour of the USA Rodgers was addressing the young players in the squad when he was interrupted by Sterling.
He tells them: "You need to improve your attitude," before he stops and turns to the young winger.
"You say 'steady' to me again when I say something to you, you'll be on the first plane back," he snaps.
Sterling apparently protests but Rodgers insists: "You know what you said, I know what you said. You'll be on the first plane back."
After continuing his speech and then dismissing the players Rodgers can't resist having another word with the youngster as they walk off the field.
The clip is a sneak preview of the behind-the-scenes documentary on Liverpool, made by Amercian broadcaster FOX Soccer.
Filming for the six-part programme began before the FA Cup Final, which saw the Reds defeated 2-1 by Chelsea.
It will also feature footage from the club's US tour and the early part of this season. It will air on Channel 5 this autumn.
"I expect it will be compelling programming as Liverpool will provide unprecedented access," chairman Tom Werner said in April when the show was announced.
"This will be an amazing opportunity for our fans to see a new side of the club and for us to reach out to many more potential supporters around the world who will come to understand what makes Liverpool FC so special."
