X Factor star Nicole Scherzinger arrived a day late for the judges' houses stage after laying over for a passion-fuelled pit-stop with Lewis Hamilton.
The former Pussycat Doll was due to land in Dubai on Sunday, but begged bosses for an en-route stopover in London.
LA-based Nicole, 34, was so keen to spend a night with her 27-year-old F1 toyboy she was prepared to fly halfway round the world for just a few hours with him.
When she finally arrived at the exclusive Palm Islands resort in Dubai – 24 hours later than planned – she had to step off the overnight plane and start shooting straight away.
But one source said: "The smile on her face said it had been worth it."
Even after arriving the first thing lovesick Nicole did was call Lewis, talking to him for half an hour in her room.
One hotel insider said: "She must have been exhausted."
Glamorous Nicole, who temporarily split from Switzerland-based Lewis in November amid speculation that their schedules meant they rarely saw each other, cannot stop talking about "my boyfriend" to production staff and crew.
"They are obviously very loved up again," said the source.
"They both travel all the time so it's important to grab any time together they can."
Meanwhile X Factor bosses are hoping viewing figures pick up in the later stages of the show.
Just 8.3 million tuned in on Saturday, a paltry 200,000 increase on the opener – which was more than 2 million down on 2011's launch.
