BT warned over broadband funds - Financial Times

BT has been warned by Jeremy Hunt, the culture secretary, that the telecoms company will not get a "blank cheque" from the government to extend its high-speed broadband network.

But analysts said BT was in pole position to secure the largest portion of the £830m of public funds the government is making available to ensure rural areas do not miss out on high-speed internet access.
