EE kicks off 4G price war - The Times (subscription)

The premium that mobile phone companies can charge for 4G is in danger of being wiped out less than a year after the services were launched.

EE, which was the first to launch its faster mobile service last year, has upped the ante on Vodafone and O2, which launched their services in August, by offering a basic 4G package for £19 a month, including a handset. The price is below O2's equivalent packages at £32 and Vodafone's at £34, which both offer cheaper SIM-only deals.
