A 10-year-old girl has died after a horrific car crash which left her parents fighting for their lives.
The family were travelling in a Subaru Justy on the A3020 Cowes Road in Newport, Isle of Wight, at 8.30pm yesterday when it collided with a Ford Puma, Hampshire Police said.
The schoolgirl was taken to Southampton General Hospital but died earlier today.

Her father, 44, and mother, 41, suffered life-threatening injuries and are in a serious condition at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight.
The driver of the Ford Puma, a 30-year-old man from Sandown, Isle of Wight, also suffered serious injuries.
He was arrested at the scene and is being treated at St Mary's.
The road between Newport and Cowes was closed for several hours while local police investigated the accident.
