Robert Kee, one of the original TV-am 'famous five', dies aged 93 - The Sun

BROADCASTER Robert Kee has died aged 93.

One of the original "famous five" presenters on ITV's 1980s breakfast show TV-am, he also worked on programmes including Panorama and This Week.

After serving in the RAF in World War II, with a spell as a PoW in Poland, he became a special correspondent for national newspapers.

He moved to TV in 1958, working for both the BBC and ITV as a reporter, and was awarded a Bafta in 1976.

His 12-part BBC series, Ireland — A Television History was broadcast in 1980 and 1981.

Kee, who married three times, leaves a wife and three children.
