Ten-Man Norwich Draws 1-1 at Sunderland; Fulham Upsets Spurs 1-0 - Businessweek

Ten-man Norwich held on for a 1-1 draw at Sunderland today in English soccer's Premier League. Fulham won 1-0 at Tottenham.

Wes Hoolahan gave Norwich a 26th-minute lead, and four minutes later goalkeeper Mark Bunn was red-carded after handling the ball outside the penalty as he cleared. Craig Gardner leveled the scores with a 40th-minute penalty kick awarded for Sebastien Bassong's handball.

Former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov scored Fulham's winner in the 52nd minute at White Hart Lane. Fulham manager Martin Jol was previously at Spurs.

Also today, Chelsea plays West Ham and Newcastle visits Wigan.

Yesterday, Manchester United beat Reading 1-0 and defending champion Manchester City lost 2-0 at Everton, leaving United 15 points clear at the top. Arsenal won 2-0 at Swansea and Southampton upset Liverpool 3-1. Stoke drew 0-0 with West Brom.

Queens Park Rangers stayed bottom after a 3-2 loss at Aston Villa.
