Watch The First Six Minutes Of 'Sucker Punch' In Today's Dailies - MTV.com (blog)

The first six minutes of Zack Snyder's latest have hit the Internet, and they're definitely something of a sucker punch.

Against a narration that speaks of silent guardians and angels, the opening minutes of "Sucker Punch" show how leading lady Emily Browning ends up at Lennox House mental institution. In true Snyder tradition, there are copious amounts of awesome music -- a remix of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" -- and slow motion used in the best possible combination.

After the jump, check out the first photos of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," find out which Hollywood actors are turning gangster and learn the first details of the "Transporter" TV series.

Honest Abe Heads To New Orleans
One of the films we are most excited about is "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," so we're glad that the crew took our advice and got shooting underway in 2011. Some set pictures have hit the web via MovieWeb of Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln and his costar Dominic Cooper in period dress, set against the backdrop of the 19th century French Quarter in New Orleans.

John Travolta, Sean Penn And Ryan Gosling Go Gangster
Two major projects have picked up some hefty leading men. First up, The Hollywood Reporter learned that John Travolta is set to play mobster John Gotti Sr. in the indie flick "Gotti: Three Generations," directed by Nick Cassavetes. On the other side of the spectrum, Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling are negotiating to star as LA gangster Mickey Cohen and one of the cops who tries to take him down, respectively, in the Ruben Fleischer-directed flick "Gangster Squad," Deadline reports.

"Transporter" TV Series Given Greenlight
We heard that a "Transporter" TV series was in the works back in December, but now Deadline has confirmed that Cinemax has teamed up with director Luc Besson for the project. They have committed to 12 episode of the planned action drama, but there is no word as to whether Jason Statham will reprise his role as Frank Martin or if he'll be replaced.

Gulliver McGrath Hops On "Dark Shadows"
On Monday we learned that Michael Sheen is likely to join Tim Burton's latest, "Dark Shadows," and now Deadline has even more information about what his role will entail. According to them, he will play Roger Collins, the father of David Collins. "Hugo Cabret" actor Gulliver McGrath was recently cast for the pint-sized role.

Jeremy Renner And Gemma Arterton Get Their Witch Hunting On
The two stars of "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" took to the film's set today in full supernatural-slaying gear, thanks to set photos posted by Accidental Sexiness. Both are decked out in time-appropriate costumes and weaponry, and we're surprised we don't see any dead witch props lying around.
