It may be halftime in America, but they play a different kind of football in Europe. And in that game, General Motors is in danger of collecting another yellow card.
Losses at GM Europe won't keep the car maker on Thursday from capping what is likely to be its most profitable year: GM is expected to report net profit for 2011 of about $8.1 billion, up 75% from the prior year.
