The mother of a baby who died in hospital branded its staff "bullies, cowards and hypocrites" yesterday, after a coroner said there had been "serious failures" in her daughter's treatment.
Paula Stevenson's daughter Hayley Fullerton died in Birmingham Children's Hospital on November 11 2009, aged 13 months, from complications arising after surgery for a heart condition.
Ms Stevenson, 40, said that she intended to sue the NHS over her child's "preventable and predictable" death, after the hospital trust made an admission of full liability.
