We have been greedy and unfair, says CBI president - The Times (subscription)

Big business has been greedy and has treated the rest of society unfairly, the head of the CBI has admitted.

Speaking at the annual conference of the bosses' body in London yesterday, Sir Roger Carr, its president, told more than a thousand delegates: "We must salvage the reputation of business."

Sir Roger, chairman of the British Gas owner Centrica, said that Britain should be concentrating not on how much money it makes but on how it makes money.
