Two children and woman killed as crash closes M6 - The Times (subscription)

Two young children and a woman were killed and two other women seriously injured after a car crash along the M6 in Staffordshire this morning.

Two boys, aged 4 and 10, and a woman aged 32 died after the crash, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The accident happened at about 11.30am on the northbound carriageway of the motorway, between junctions 14, near Stafford, and 15, near Stoke-on-Trent.

Two women were taken to the University of Hospital of North Staffordshire, where they said in a stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said. Next of kin are being informed.
