Dragon Duncan has 'heart attack' - The Sun

DRAGONS' Den star Duncan Bannatyne suffered a suspected heart attack yesterday.

The tycoon, 63 — who runs several fitness clubs — was rushed to hospital with chest pains.

Last night he tweeted from Darlington Memorial Hospital where he is recovering: "Hi. Attached to a few wires feeling tired but am sure I will be discharged tomorrow fit & well (fit as a pensioner can be anyway)."

His daughters were understood to be by his bedside.

Fellow Dragon Theo Paphitis tweeted: "Get well and up and running ASAP. Speedy recovery please, we are missing you already xxx!"

Bannatyne fell ill at The Bannatyne Group's Darlington HQ shortly before noon.

A group spokesman said: "He is very strong. We are confident he will make a full recovery."
