An Oxford don died of a heart attack after being put in a headlock by a fellow professor who was trying to restrain him, an inquest was told today.
Stephen Rawlings, an internationally acclaimed astrophysicist, was pronounced dead in January after an incident at the home of his colleague and longstanding friend, Devinderjit Sivia.
Oxford Coroner's Court was told that a neighbour, police and paramedics all tried to resuscitate Professor Rawlings, who had been invited to stay at Dr Sivia's house in Southmoor, Oxfordshire.
