Hodgson holds FA talks over England job - ESPN.co.uk

Roy Hodgson arrived at Wembley on Monday to hold talks with the Football Association over the England job.

The FA was granted permission to speak to West Brom boss Hodgson on Sunday night and he was present at Wembley on Monday afternoon.

Hodgson, 64, will speak to FA chairman David Bernstein, chief executive Alex Horne, director of football development Sir Trevor Brooking and Club England managing director Adrian Bevington about the position.

Should the talks be successful, it is anticipated that the appointment will be confirmed by Wednesday, though he would likely see out his West Brom contract, which expires at the end of the season. He would then take charge of the warm-up matches against Norway on May 26 and Belgium on June 2.

Hodgson, who has extensive international experience after stints in charge of Switzerland, Finland and UAE, has long expressed an interest in leading his home country.
