WHINGEING nurses are so busy attacking NHS cuts they are IGNORING vulnerable patients, a senior health leader will warn today.
Sir Keith Pearson, chairman of the NHS Confederation, will risk the wrath of the Royal College of Nursing Conference by reeling off a list of shame.
It includes glasses of water left out of patients' reach and no questions asked when meals go uneaten.
Sir Keith will tell delegates in Harrogate, North Yorks: "Low wages and poor staffing levels never justify ignoring patients.
"Let's have a debate about staffing levels. But let's also not let that debate overshadow the importance of getting day-to-day care right."
The Patients Association said: "Cuts can never excuse the poor quality of care some receive."
