A British jury has convicted nine men for participating in a child sex ring which plied young girls with drugs and alcohol so they could be abused.
Prosecutors at Liverpool Crown Court had said the men had assaulted five girls between the ages of 13 and 15 years old in Rochdale, northern England.
The girls were assaulted, raped and sometimes forced to have sex with several men a day, the court heard.
The nine men - Kabeer Hassan, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Rauf, Mohammed Sajid, Adil Khan, Abdul Qayyum, Mohammed Amin, Hamid Safi and a 59-year-old man who cannot be named for legal reasons - were convicted Tuesday following a 10-week trial.
Judge Gerald Clifton adjourned sentencing until Wednesday.
