And its creators plan to make FOUR in all.
Series one of the hit show about US marine Nicholas Brody back from Iraq but suspected of being in al-Qaeda came to a dramatic conclusion last night.
But the ending was left open and Channel 4 revealed they have now secured the rights to the second series of the show which so far has pulled in an average 3.2million viewers for the channel.
The Homeland cast with Brit Damian Lewis as Brody and Claire Danes as CIA agent Carrie Mathison start filming again in the summer.
C4 expect to air series two at the end of the year or early in 2013 with boss Jay Hunt saying it's been "gripping, must-watch TV".
A show insider said: "They are sure they have ideas that will see it continue for three more seasons."
